Libyan Desert Glass, also known as Tektite, is an impactite found in the eastern Sahara, particularly in the deserts of eastern Libya and western Egypt. While many believe it was formed by a meteorite impact over 26 million years ago, this theory remains unproven due to the lack of direct evidence. Interestingly, when King Tutankhamun's burial chamber was uncovered in 1922, a remarkable pendant was found around his neck, featuring a scarab made from this mysterious stone. For years, the origins of the stone remained unknown, until P. Clayton identified it as tektite in 1932. The ancient Egyptians valued these unique pieces, even using them in royal burial artifacts. Local legends also tell of Libyan Desert Glass being the remnants of a great civilization destroyed by a catastrophic event.
According to metaphysics: Libyan Desert Glass, with its brilliant yellow hue, symbolizes abundance, clarity, and vitality. Linked to the Solar Plexus Chakra, it enhances power, confidence, and manifestation. This unique stone boosts self-confidence, helps manifest desires, and empowers the user. As you work with it, your inner strength will awaken, bringing a sense of renewal and greater control over decisions and personal will.
According the Metaphysics: Tektite is a transformational stone that beings forth enhancing energies that directly resonate with one’s solar plexus, sacral, and third eye chakra. As one begins their own personal journey with this strange desert glass, exceptional qualities of oneself will begin to shine through the daily miasma of negative energy.
